Melissa Sedda-Alesnik, founder of Speech Links, Inc., is a speech-language pathologist with over 12 years of experience providing individualized therapy to both children and adults. Melissa is a bilingual therapist, fluent in both English and Spanish and is ASHA certified. She studied at the University of South Florida, obtaining a Masters of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology in 1996. Melissa´s therapeutic versatility is the result of her committed training in a wide range of intervention approaches. This broad experience affords her patients with accurate recognition of their individual needs and delivery of the most appropriate treatment for those children with communication disorders. Melissa is a Bridging-PROMPT trained clinician,and is currently seeking full certification in PROMPT, as well as in DIR/Floortime.

Speech Links´ philosophy is to cultivate a team approach, incorporating the caregiver in treatment strategies, as well as goal development. It is also a primary goal to provide appropriate support to the family, so as to enhance and perpetuate the communication between child and caregiver.
